Quick reaction here. Six home games. Two of them on weeknights. Thursday game against Baylor isn’t a bad thing because it sets up a nice little mid season BYE week that we did not get this year. It will be nice to get that weird Thursday night atmosphere in Mountaineer Field that we used to have every year.
The Friday Oklahoma game the day after Thanksgiving has some pros and cons. One, you know the students will not be there. But when are they ever really there? So, really a non issue. It puts us in a short week situation coming off what will probably be our toughest road game while Oklahoma has Kansas in Norman the week before. Not ideal. But it also makes for a difficult travel and game environment for the Sooners. Coming into Morgantown is tough enough. Now do it on a short week around Thanksgiving. Lots of distractions for sure.
Sneaky huge game of the year might end up being the NC State game in September. win that one and a huge spring board into a fairly easy start to Big 12 play.
November schedule is ROUGH. A lot like October schedule of 2015. Just a murderers row of matchups for 4 straight weeks, but spin zone….8-0 and ranked top 10 going into the November firestorm is going to be pretty fun.
Not sure about you all but I see, conservatively, 15-0 and rings for everybody!
