Ravens have some holes to fill for sure the rest of this draft. At offensive line, outside linebacker, and at wide receiver. But if you have seen Baltimore at all the past few years, the secondary has been a revolving door of not so great talent. Injuries and spotty play has plagued the Ravens and this pick helps cure that a little.
Marlon Humphrey, a 6′ 197lb corner from Alabama(amazingly, the first player taken), will be a plug and go solution to the secondary woes. Draft “experts”describe his length, speed, ball skills, run stopping ability, and reliable tackling as all positives which should come as no surprise considering every player so far has also been described as perfect. It’s not like you will get these analysts saying anything other than that because they don’t want to be wrong down the road. But while I would have been extremely pleased with Ozzie pulling the trigger on Jonathan Allen or Reuben Foster….this pick does the job.
