Does anybody really understand what we just witnessed over the weekend?
Truly?
Phil Mickelson, a 5 time major champion, finished the Open Championship 11 shots clear of his closest pursuant competitor. It was a runaway. A scoring display for the ages. Much like Tiger Woods in the 2000 US Open. A thrashing. Shooting a 63(should have been a 62) to open and a 65 to close. Just brilliant.
But there was a problem. He lost.
Henrik Stenson shot 68-65-68-63-264 to win by THREE over Phil.
Stenson has always been a great competitor. 19 worldwide wins and 9 top 10s in majors during his very successful career. Add in his FedEx Cup victory and European Tour Race to Dubai in the same year, and he was extremely high up on the “Best player to never win a major” list. Well you can scratch him off that. He didn’t just win a major….he dominated one. Don’t be surprised if he gets 2 or 3 more.
Quick turnaround to the next major. 2 weeks til the PGA Championship. With the Olympics, FedEx Cup Playoffs, and Ryder Cup coming up too, we couldn’t ask for more as golf fans. What a stretch.
Also note that these methods does not work for end-childs, which is indicated by a fiixnChrld/nestSiblitg with the value null. To be really conformant, getNextSiblings loop also needs to test for endBrother!=null, and getFirstChild needs to return null instead of void (return;) (plus there is a bug in getFirstChild, the loop should test for

I’m fine with any WoT character apart from Ta’veren or Channelers. IMO, that leaves a lot of options open. Of course, WoT fans would whine and complaine saying I was trying to stack the odds. I’m not. I just want all of the series to have equal chance. If one of the people is an unpopular, weak character, they will get less votes, meaning they won’t go as far, meaning another series can win.
